Committees and Working Groups

The Consortium regularly convenes leaders from across member institutions. Most sessions include roundtable discussions in which two to three experts are invited to foster a lively conversation on issues of mutual interest.

The Board
The presidents of our eighteen voting member institutions and our President & CEO make up our Board of Trustees and meet at least four times each year.

Standing Committees

Chief Academic Officers/Provosts
Meet quarterly in advance of Board meetings.

Enrollment, Student Success, and Articulation
Brings together chief enrollment, academic, and student affairs officers every two months.

Innovation in Purchasing and Revenue Collaborations
Financial, operations, and procurement directors meet every other month, often joined by related university officers corresponding to relevant agenda topics.

Government Relations
Quarterly meetings are supplemented by a subcommittee from D.C. located institutions that meets monthly.

Communications and Media Relations
Chief marketing, public affairs, and communications officers meet each semester.

Chiefs of Police/Public Safety Officers
Quarterly meetings including oversight of the Consortium Public Safety Institute in addition to areas of common interest.

Emergency Managers
Personnel across the Consortium meet monthly to coordinate efforts and share best practices on potential threats, including those posed by weather, health emergencies, cyber security, or civic unrest.

Ad-hoc working groups

Athletics
Representatives from member athletic departments meet as needed to discuss reopening policies that affect their athletes and their practice sessions and sporting events.

Reopening Steering Committee
Meeting every two weeks, this groupĀ  conducts planning for fall reopening policies.

D.C. Points of Contact
Members of this group meet twice monthly with representatives from the DC Department of Health and are primarily focused on information on vaccine prioritization, and efforts to engage our campuses as vaccine points of distribution.

Surveillance and Testing working group
The group convenes as needed to discuss best practices in COVID testing and develop collaborative testing efforts.

Vaccination working group
Meets as needed to promote COVID vaccination.
