Research Projects
The Fort Benning Research Unit’s (FBRU) current research focuses is on defining, assessing, and developing leader competencies with the goal of enhancing talent management processes for the Army. Supporting and related research addresses topics such as developing innovative methods that assess, track, and provide feedback on critical cognitive, social, and other competencies needed to optimize Leader and Soldier performance across their careers. Interested applicants for a Research Psychologist position with FBRU should have specialized experience in conducting research (e.g., hypothesis development, research methodology and experimental design, item development, data collection, statistical analysis of data including the use of statistical packages such as SPSS or R, and reporting and publishing research findings) in relevant areas of Psychology (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Cognitive Science, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, Occupational Health Psychology, Human Factors, job performance measurement and evaluation, test validation and development, personnel assessment and selection, training, leader development, and organizational behavior).
