Historically, the CRFP has provided support to government research agencies within the DoD. Those include the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences, Air Force Research Lab, Army Research Lab, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Defense Manpower Data Center, National Defense University, and Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences. Through their partnership with the CRFP, those agencies and others have benefited from the talented students and postdoctoral fellows that provide critical research support. Additionally, students and postdoctoral fellows who participate in a CRFP fellowship gain applied research experience that prepares them for a permanent career with government research agencies. Following completion of their CRFP fellowship, a majority of our postdoctoral fellows transition into full-time federal government research positions. As such, the CRFP’s mission to develop the next generation of scientists is mutually beneficial to fellows and agencies.
